The foundation of our strong, comprehensive curriculum is A Beka
Books and Saxon Math.
Champions Christian Academy's (CCA) Educational Curriculum includes
the following subjects:
- Language and Reading
- Spelling
- Handwriting
- Mathematics
- Social Studies
- Science
- Health
- Bible
CCA's well-rounded curriculum is enriched by various activities
including year-round Computer Basics and Physical Education. CCA has
daily Praise and Worship and weekly Chapel throughout the entire
school year. CCA includes one 9 week session of Art each year, and a
total of 9 weeks of instructional music.
CCA has at least two major field trips each school year for all
students.
CCA elementary students have an opportunity to compete with other
Christian Schools at several Association of Christian Schools
International (ACSI) Scholastic Competitions including Science Fair,
Math Olympics, Spelling Bee, Creative Writing, and Art Fair. In past
years CCA students have won Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals at these
events!
Our well-rounded
curriculum is enriched by various activities including computer
basics, library, music and art, sports and numerous field trips.
Our Faculty
Our
Elementary School is directed by Lynda Andrews, Elementary Education
Director. Mrs. Andrews is degreed from University of Mississippi
majoring in Journalism and English. Mrs. Andrews has taught
kindergarten, middle school, and high school grades. Mrs. Andrews
was a Clinician for Learning and Language Specialists and Sylvan
Learning Centers. She is also a past director of Huntington Learning
Center. Mrs. Andrews worked with the Mississippi Dept of Education
in the competency testing program. Mrs. Andrews is a Senior Pastor's
wife, married to Andy Andrews and they have a son, Scott, who
graduated from CCA in 2008.
